Not hard Q7 has one of the easy way to change the front and rear Diffs.
The two procedures show the top bolt, the drain bolt is the same and it is on the bottom of the Diff.
Undo the top bolt 1st just incase it cannot be remove. This is because it you removed the bottom one 1st then you have no way to fill the Diff.
Need a pump to pump the fluid up wards.
The front top Diff was a little hard, had to used two wrenches to make one long one to undo the bolt.

I used redline d4 in the transfer case, and redline 75w90 in the front and rear differential.

One minor point, if you think the Q7 has a haldex diff I would hesitate to recommend that you attempt changing the transmission fluid.
Do some more research first because you need at least some basic knowledge about the car you are working on and whilst draining the trans fluid is easy, re-filling requires careful monitoring of temperatures as it is filled to reach the correct level.

Does the 3.6 and 4.2 have the same transmission? I was searching for a kit that includes filter and fluids but some of the sites only mention that the kits are for the 4.2.

No, as far as I am aware all the TDI and 4.2 use the Aisin 09d trans whereas the 3.6 uses a ZF so not even the fluid will be the same let alone the filter or gaskets etc....

The re-fill procedure will be different as well.

Thanks Edd for pointing me in the right direction. I wanted to share what I found to help contribute as I feel this info was difficult to find. The transmission is 0AT which I found on Amsoil's website and I cross referenced that to ZF part # ZF6HP19

Amsoil's link to the 2008 Q7 3.6 includes other great info

2008 AUDI Q7 3.6L 6-cyl Engine Code BHK - AMSOIL Online Product Application Guide

I found a ZF Service Information sheet that will help with a DIY

http://www.zf.com/global/media/medie...hselkit_EN.pdf

And finally I found this Service Training Guide published by Audi

http://vwts.ru/pps/pps_993603_audi_q...ission_eng.pdf

I have yet to review all this in its entirety but wanted to post it before I lost it. Hopes this helps someone looking to tackle this.

are specified if the dealer does the job...
