Default Audi Q7 Quattro brake pad change

Hey evening all

Have checked the tech section and could t find anything on this

I’m trying to change the pads on my Quattro Q7 but the bolts are unfamiliar. Picture below

can anyone steer me in the right direction. Is this a special tool from Audi or an e head socket

thanks in advance

What year is your Q7? Gas or TDI? I've done my brakes twice and have never seen those bolts. More information please.

What year? What country? You mention U.K., is it a UK Q7? Front or rear? Take some pics zoomed out more. I seem to recall some weird version of the Q7 that was shipped to the UK that did not have the normal Brembo brakes. Maybe that’s what you have. Have you changed brakes before on this Q7? Mileage?

Are you sure you need to remove that for the pad change? I've done it twice (2008 and 2014) and never seen that bolt.

Its a 7 tooth socket, that is the caliper bolt.
I dont know what MM you need just posting a picture of what the socket would look like.

by the looks of that photo, they are definitely not the standard q7 brembo calipers. That would explain the odd hardware been used.
