Best bang for the buck Q7 + Mods?
Hey Audiworlders...
I'm considering buying an SUV to own for a couple of years, mainly just to have that experience, and to have something solid and "cozy" for winter. By all practical measures, this is an extremely dumb idea. It would be our fourth car, and we have no kids, no boat to tow, etc. It would get very occasional commute duty (probably on some rainy days), run some errands on the weekend, etc, but its main purpose would be road trips in and around the Sierra Nevada mountains.
I don't have a strict budget number I'm looking to hit, but rather I'm more interested in finding that sweet spot of value in terms of spec/equipment and depreciation. I was looking at '13/'14 V8 Cayenne GTS, but they're kind of hard to find (when you decide you can't handle white). But I think that a Q7 could be better value given it's on the same platform, even though the 3.0 V6 isn't as interesting a motor.
So my question for AW is ... what's the best bang for buck Q7 here, and how might mods contribute to that equation? Both in terms of power (chips, pulleys, airflow, etc), but also interior comfort / materials. For example, the trim piece that goes around the binnacle and nav screen - any better replacements? Best seats? Packages that have better leather / alcantara?
Thanks!

Cayenne will certainly be more Fun, but if you want good comfy ride a TDI Prestige with a Racechips.com chip or if you aren't worried about warranty a Malone Tune and get you anywhere from 25-30mpgs
