Can the MMI button layout be disconnected?
I'm going to vinyl wrap my interior trim this weekend and also change gear selector **** to the facelift one as well. If I take off the middle trim piece with the MMI, and disconnect the MMI, will it work perfectly when I put it back in? It won't need a radio code or anything? Any tips on removing the trim pieces?

Got everything off, now all I have is just the wood center trim piece. And it has those two 12v sockets in it, is there any way to get these darn things out with out busting them..
In this thread: quattroworld.com Forums: Brushed Aluminum Trim...
The directions are really unclear as to how to get 12v sockets out, can someone please explain this if you know?

Do you remember how you got sockets out of the wood trim piece, I'm an idiot and I know I'm going to bust them.. I'm really awful at understanding directions as well, do you think you could help me understand what needs to happen to remove the 12v sockets?

The one that is over the start/stop button? Is that what you're refering to? That is actually the PRNDS indicator that's next to the shifter when all put back together..
