Default Just bought myself facelift LED lights

So i just got myself some used facelift LED lights for my 07. It came with some used LED driver wiring loom so that it works on prefacelift Q7's.

Hooked everything up, brake lights work fine, indicators work fine, but the sidelight doesn't work at all. You know the light which suppose to stay on when your headlights are on?.

So i removed this led light driver wiring loom and plugged the lights in directly to the existing wiring, again everything works but the sidelights. Should the tail lights work fine directly in a prefacelift?. I am just trying to figure out if its a good way to test the sidelights if they are faulty or not.

I am thinking the tail lights sidelight bulb has blown in both tail lights.

Make sure you shut your lift gate/hatch...the lights did some weird things on my 2008 when I was changing brake light bulbs once...I thought the side lights were suddenly not working, etc. and closing the lift gate and restarting the car suddenly made them work....

Yes, i think i have managed to solve it. I am not sure how exactly. I just put the wiring onto a fuse and put the fuse into the rear fuse box in a spare location. Then i turn car off and on again and side lights are working again.

It did stop again, i think its something to do with having the tailgate up and no keys in the car. I have put everything back together and so far it seems to be fine.
