Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by a full delete. If you get your TCU reprogrammed back to the pre-fix state you should get the engine braking back. I thought the engine braking was very good: well programmed with good shift points.

OK, I understand now. I thought I might have to do the DEF delete to get it back.

So from what I've read, some people are doing Malone Stage 2 with or without deletes, and some are just getting their TCU reflashed. The TCU seems to be the big problem most people complained about post-fix correct? (other than a drop of mileage).

Please excuse my ignorance I am new to the TDI and a little overwhelmed by all the info and terms out there. I'd love to get the TCU reflashed, or Malone but Im just hesitant about the warranty.
