Q7 MMI control problems. Including Rear Camera
Hi...
After much research on rear camera problems and sticky MMI selections i have a resolution.
I had watched a guy on you tube replace the logic board on the 2G MMI system because he spilt some soda on it.
My rear camera too (Audi Q7 2009) was twitchy and didn't work correctly, so i was going to switch the board.
HOWEVER! after watching the video i thought in my case that it was only the rear camera messing up.
So i thought, let's clean the board. As a helicopter engineer and knowing Avionics guys i know that contact cleaner is great for getting stuff cleaned.
I took off the gear shift cover and sprayed everything....inside and out. I had a sticky return key so sprayed that extra...wiped it and let it chill!
Then i did it again....sprayed and wired...let it be for ten then ran the car. Took at 10 minute ride with best tracks of Pearl Jam then reversed up the drive.......
No matter how much i thumped or kicked the centre console i had perfect rear camera vision.
This may not be a repair for everyone, but it looks like a good clean of the logic board works.
If you have no MMI vision then you may need a logic board replacement, however this worked for me.
Buttons feel new also. If you have info on Yellow flashing adaptive suspension without faults, let me know.
Cheers
