Replace injector o-rings?
Hello everyone,
my 2007 Q7 has had a misfire problem for a while now. I have had the dealer try to diagnose it and I feel like their just throwing parts at it, and its not fixing the problem. It has 110k on it and it have never had a carbon cleaning so i'm going to clean the valves this weekend and see if that fixes it. My question is does anyone know if there is a way to check the injector seals? It would be nice to know if I need to replace any of the seals while the intake is off so I don't end up pulling it a second time.

once you pull the fuel rail from the intake all seals require to be replace. Your seals are still original from 110K ago.
I recommend to have them clean also I used a group in Houston on several vehicles I work on and did a really good job. If is below. They have to tools to replace the seals and also will give you a data sheet from old to new.

Thank you for you response.
I didn't think the injector rail needed to come off to get to the valves for cleaning. Ill look over my manual better and if the rail needs to come off, if so Ill order new seals. and I agree that if the injectors need to come out its always a good idea to get them cleaned. I have a friend that is an A/P and he has a bench at the airport he lets me use.
Thanks again.
