Default What's connected life after Audi Connect?

My MY2015 Q7 with MMI 3G+ came into my ownership never having used or seen Audi Connect. If I was to get activated SIM what experience would I see?

I suspect Google Earth (overlay) would not work, right? How about traffic, weather or added POI?
What provider would be supported, such as AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon?
Would I still need to go to MyAudiConnect.com to activate service?
How much monthly data would be consumed?

Appreciated!

Google Earth works, Traffic comes from Satellite radio not cell signal, you can do online destination searches but they dont show anything on map, weather yeah but mostly useless your phone app is 100x better.. TMobile is the default out the box, AT&T is doable but plans are in place to take 3G networks offline in the next few years so enjoy it for the lil time you got left.

myAudi isint required but if you want to send destinations from google maps to your navi you will need to set it up.

I switched mine from tmobile to ATT thinking it may have a longer life. I use the mobile hotspot for my kids. Its definitely not a necessity but the google earth is cool. It would be better if the car could just link to your phone for data. Audi connect will send you a sim for free and $25 month for unlimited data, you could do one month just to try it out.

AT&T vs T-Mobile wont stop this:
Google Earth features will not be available after December 2020 for Model Year 2018 & prior vehicles. Google Earth is a trademark of Google Inc. Connect services are subject to technologies remaining commercially available, such services are not guaranteed, and may not be available after 2021 for equipped MY17-20 vehicles.

Currently both AT&T and T-Mobile are intending on sunsetting 3G capability sometime in 2020-2021

Dudeness, roughly how much data is being consumed per month? Of course it depends heavily upon use, like is this used every days for x mintues/day, etc... I would not be using hte mobile hotspot, however the Google Earth and weather would be of more interest

nothign to worry about, on my worst month ever its like 800MB or some ****.. its 3G, not like speeds are blazing fast and kids can tear through gigs watching netflix in a few weeks..

I might of used a couple gigs in the whole year I paid for it.. mine lapsed for 6mo before I even realized it because it caches maps and dont download your home areas more than once.
