2011 3.0T Production
Has anyone received confirmation on their 3.0T production date yet? I ordered a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty excited about the future addition. Just curious if anyone has heard anything before I start harassing the deal on a daily basis

My dealer will dock me $100 each time I bug him about the delivery date.

Someone has already posted pics of his TDI he picked up a couple weeks ago which is right on the money for what I was told was the first wave of TDI arrivals.
For the 3.0T, the first wave is mid-August.
If you hear dealers saying late September, they either have no allocations or they are expecting to have cars available that are not "pre-sold" by then. Every allocation of '11 Q7 showing on dealers in Houston are "pre-sold".
btw, no one thought I was serious about the $100 did they?

Just ask your dealer to let you know as soon as he has VIN. That means its gone to production. Only then can you calculate time otherwise its just guesswork which is hard with new production model.

In the UK we're being quoted on Feb 2011 if we order now. The dealer allocations are all used up.
The wife liked the new 4.2 diesel in the A8 so much that she wants it in the Q7. Who am I to complain (oh yeah, I'm the mugg who has to pay).
I just need to haggle with the dealer before putting ordering the new 4.2 diesel and trading in the 3.0TDI. The 8 speed is a dream to drive, so much slicker, faster and quieter than the 6 speed. You won't be dissapointed.
The dealer said that the residuals were very very strong a couple of months ago, so I'm going to hold that against him during the negotiations.
