Auto Wipers
First Post. New Q7 Driver. 2013 S Line Prestige.
My Auto wipers are very inconsistent. Sometimes the lowest sensitivity does too much, sometimes the highest is not enough... I am in Spokane Washington and its December so its lots of rain sleet snow grossness right now. Where is the sensor? Does it need cleaned?

Assuming it hasn't changed since m.y. 2008, the rain sensor is at the top middle of the windshield, in the lump just above the rear view mirror. The wipers clear its position. My experience is that in the rain, the auto wipers run either too often or not often enough. Never what I wanted. Ironically, they behaved quite well with snow. I disabled the auto feature using VCDS. Now I've got plain old intermittent wipers with 4 interval selections. Exactly what I wanted.
