Diesel and USA
I am thinking about crossing the Americas in my Q7, but is this legal. Perhaps both North and South, but this question is only about the North.
I would not be importing/registering my car in the USA, just drive my danish registered car from North to South, East to West.

So if you wanted to, you could import a Q7 TDI yourself ?
are there different regulations for diesel cars in the US and Europe, and would this also prohibit me from driving my car into the US ?<ul><li><a href="http://www.usetheworld.com">Use the world</a></li></ul>

I don't have any experience with import procedures
and what's involved. I'm also not sure if you could bring it in on a temporary basis. I do know that there are a handful of German diesel cars for sale in the states currently.
