Default Halogen to Xenon replacement issues

Howdy folks.
I have a 2009 Q7 Premium + and had everything I wanted except bi-xenon.

I recently purchased a set of headlights from europrice and installed them on with the cables from Kufatec. The cable instructions were not very helpful at all but we had it installed without any major issue.
The mechanic in which I took my car to (reisu) was amazing and did an excellent job (he was a head Audi mechanic and has his own independent Audi/BMW shop).
He was befuddled by the Long coding error codes that they were throwing and have contacted Kufatec about possible solutions and recently they have contacted Germany but has not heard anything in about 2 weeks.

The headlights are functional, I do not have high-beam and DRL and have errors on my gauges as I start my car.
They state:

Right headlight / Right high beam Dip
Left headlight / left high beam dip

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Or can offer a possible insight to solution prior to me taking it back to the stealership.

Thanks!

Did you check out Ross-tech.com

How do these settings compare with what you have?

Notice it says "Don't forget to check/clear fault codes afterwards"

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...l_(Xenon_Plus)

I recall some discussion about resetting the beam with xenons where codes were given but cant find it yet. Not sure if it was here or quatrowold.

Hi:
yes we did check Ross-Tech.
Alex from europrice was very helpful and provided that prior to us installing it.
My mechanic said that he did clear the faults/codes as well as he went through technical support with kufatec.

Thank you!

The OEM xenons are self leveling. Did you buy OEM lights? I believe there are sensors on the car that work with thy leveling mechanism. Perhaps by changing the long code to tell the car it has xenons, it now detects that those level sensors are not there

Yes the lights are OEM.
I believe what you stated may be the case, do you have any idea as to how to solve that problem?
And I can't quite seem to figure out what may be causing the issue of a non-working high beam.

Thanks

The BiXenons use the halogen bulbs for DRL only. Flipping on the high beam actuates a shutter. It does not illuminate the halogen bulbs.

My guess would be that your headlights do not have the high / low beam shutters and that's why you do not have high beams when programmed for Xenons

I believe my manual states that the high beams should be the halogens if you just flash the brights without the headlights on. However, I have tested this and the information is incorrect. No matter what the lighting state is, the high beams are the Xenon bulbs with shutters up.

The BiXenons also steer left / right. I'm not sure if the standard lights do. This may also be a cause for faults.
