Heater problem
I have an 06 Q7 my problem is the a/c heater works fine on the passenger side but on the drivers
It just blows cold
Have found out there is a steeper motor for temperature adjustment 1 for each side ,does anyone know where the drivers 1 is located on the heater housing and the replacment procedure

My '07 blew nothing but hot air onto the second row passenger's feet. It turned out to be a bad stepper motor. This motor is responsible for moving the air mix valves into the correct position. This would be my guess as you should be able to take the passenger temp control **** and turn it all the up to "HI". This would bypass any temp sensor and should just dump hot air into the cabin regardless of cabin temp until you adjust the know lower.
The early Q7's had Bosch stepper motors (I believe) and were notorious for failing. I had ALL of mine replaced under warranty. Other symptoms included a click-click, click-click sound coming from behind the dash when you first started the car. Especially when cold. Apparently Audi switched vendors sometime after the '07 model year.

I have had a bad vent temp sensor screw with my flap motors. They would set to a default position and only blow cold on my drivers side. It set a code on its own so I checked the sensor and it was unplugged, I plugged it in and everything works perfectly now. Although I have seen plenty of Q7's with bad flap motor. All the Q7 flap motors are behind the dashboard/instrument panel. There are at least 6 motors back there so you need to find out which one controls the blend doors because all of them have seperate part numbed.
