Help!! Climate control recode???
Hi
I have a 2007 Q7 and have recently purchased a second hand climate control unit as the numbers on my old units display I could barely read
anyway so I fitted it and now it just says off and all the buttons do nothing on it apart from front demist windscreen and heated rear window button
the rear climate control also says off!
does it need recoding via VCDS if so some guidance on how would be appreciated I’ve used it before so kind of know a bit about it but a quick walkthrough but be very appreciated I took pictures of the previous sticker on my original unit and the second hand one and it doesn’t say any codes on there to input

A lot of the electronics are component protected “CP”. So you’re going to have to find a dealer, and have them code it correctly. If you’re in Europe, you could have it removed quite easily.
