Some help and suggestions for 2011 Q7

In other words, you don't have to justify fuel cost savings for the whole $4k....
It is important for people to comment on things they know. Hard to tell a TDI owner all about their vehicle from someone who does not own one. Anyway, a few "FACTS":
- The TDI in fact does get better mileage...as an owner I can confirm I average around 27 mpg on the highway and 22 in city driving. How much better than the 333HP 3.0T? I have no idea.
- The resale on the TDI is in fact better than the alternative, due to many factors. How much more? I have no idea.
- The TDI does in fact cost more than the 3.0T. When you compare side by side ALL of the options in the package, I'm not sure how much more. Audi makes it difficult with option packages to compare side by side. For sure, most TDI's are considered premium vehicles with all the options. Can it be justified? I have no idea. Hard to justify the price for the new Ferrari based on resale or mileage, but I sure do want one.
I think the 3.0T is a great engine for those who want and need that option. I have nothing bad to say about it.
??? The $4000 MSRP price difference is not my number, rather it comes from the audiusa.com configurator- $58,900 for the 333hp 3.0TFSI Prestige, and $62,900 for the 3.0 TDI Prestige. By the way, I believe that $58,900 for the 333hp Prestige is a heck of a bargain, compared to competitive offerings.

Ive probably read 1000 reviews and looked into 100's of forums for comparos between the Merc GL,ML, Lex GX, and Audi Q7, in the end like everypone has been saying all comes down to personal taste and what jumps out at ya, and hands down to all of ya this is one sexy SUV. =) Now next step is to see how well my bargaining skills are.
Thanks for all the replies

SE
3.0 TDI - £43,940
3.0 TDI Clean Diesel - £45,630
4.2 TDI - £53,525
3.0 TFSI(272hp) - £45,085
3.0 TFSI(333hp) - £49,170
S-Line
3.0 TDI - £45,600
3.0 TDI Clean Diesel - £47,290
4.2 TDI - £55,185
3.0 TFSI(272hp) - £46,745
3.0 TFSI(333hp) - £50,830
V12
6.0 TDI - £100,320
As you can see the TDI around here is £5k less than the 333hp 3.0 TFSi engine that ive just bought. Prices are going through the roof in the UK and its going to go even higher because of VAT increase. The total cost was £66,740. The dealer was good though, gave me the car for £61,500.
Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
If you choose to buy a car that you like, and have no concern about future values, that's your choice. Doesn't mean everyone subscribes to this way of thinking.
