I can’t tell at all that I have 22s with air suspension. The ride is still really good and never jarring or jittery at all. I don’t think there’s any instance where they’d disturb a sleeping baby. My X5 w/20s was brutal, even when I went to a non RFT tire.

thanks for the photos, i've been looking for 22in with 40 profile setup on non-air setup.
Looks real good!
Did you have spacers fitted?

Thanks! no spacers just +25 offset all round. If I was to do it again I might spec a larger offset and then choose a spacer based on the front or rear.. realistically it should be +25 on the back and +30 or +28 on the front.. I’m may just be picky though

I was talking to the tire shop when I was deciding what tires to go with my 22's. I told them my main priority was comfort and thread wear. And they suggested me go with All Season Tires. So it was between the Continental ST or the Scorpion Zeros. I ended up with the 295/35/22 Scorpion Zeros and love the ride of them so far. And I feel more grip as well.,

I installed the oem replica 22s with atturo 285/35/22 tires. Wheels are beautiful and tires are outstanding. Way better than scorpion run flats previously. Total was about $1600 shipped to my house and $150 for install at discount tire.

Got these last week after having the car for just over 2.5 years. It was nearly time to replace the standard 19" tyres (255/55/19) and the tyres are similarly priced to these 22s, so might as well replace the wheel itself and give it a better look.

standard springs (non-air)
Vossen VFS-2 22x9 (5x112 +32) (i wanted the 10.5 but it had to ordered in, these were in stock and they had decent offer of them)
285/35/22
15mm spacers front and rear

i think i'm quite qualified to answer this! Bought the car 2.5 years ago for the sole purpose of comfortably ferrying our kids and all the gear around (now 2 and 1).
Mine had standard 19s on standard springs so ride comfort was excellent. But always wanted bigger wheels.
I too, couldnt decide on 21 or 22. A few have said 22 on standard springs would be terrible.

In the end i went with 21in Vossen HF3 with 285/40/21, ride quality was the same, my wife didnt notice one bit, i too, really havent noticed any difference. However, very quickly i regretted the look of 21s , it just seemed small (maybe it was HF-3 styling), and it was nagging me. After just over 2 months, i couldnt bare it anymore and switched to 22in with 285/35/22.

I am now much more pleased with the looks, and luckily the ride is not one bit compromised. Maybe a very tad difference, but again wife hasnt noticed (she still doesnt even know the wheels have been changed :-D)

Yes i learnt the lesson the hard way, lost a fair few bob on getting it the way i want, should have really put both sizes on before purchasing.
