4M delay on secure gateway module replacement

Hey-Anyone waiting on a gateway module replacement after taking car in for the recall on Q7?

I took mine in mid-December and it crashed during the software update. They said it had to be ordered from Germany and can’t be obtained within US. Absolutely no updates on ETA from service department so my car has been sitting on dealer parking lot for months and can’t even be turned on. They said it’s a nationwide problem so I called Audi USA customer service and still waiting on answers weeks later and no update. This is getting ridiculous so taking any suggestions.

I only had to wait about a week.I guess the parts shortage is worse now.
Hope you got a good loaner.
maybe make a deal on a new or cpo Q7

when was yours replaced? We took ours in in mid-Dec and immediately they told us they could not get it for a while.

early December. The dealer knew it may need days to get a part. They gave me a loaner Q8. Took a week to get the part. I had to have my APR tune redone though which sucked.

I had mine done in February. A5 Loaner. I have the Blackline tail lights - had to re-add the software modules for the tail lights after Audi gave it back to me as well. All seems fine so far.....

That’s what I have seen from other posts as well, maybe a few weeks. But this has now been 4 months and I call regularly to get an update so I know they haven’t forgotten about it.

Mine was done Jan 18, they had to order the part and my wait was about 2 weeks for the part. My key FOB had to be reprogrammed after the installation.

I'm not sure why yours is taking so long from Dec. They should have gotten the part already.
