Hey guys....found this thread in the archives. I just bought a 2018 S5 and I'm having this same issue. This thread went dead after an 11.x update, but I'm on 13.5.1 and have the exact same problem. Anyone still dealing with this issue and did Audi ever address it?

Still have the issue off and on with my 2017 Q7. It's very annoying...I've simply accepted it's a bug in the technology and something that likely won't be addressed by Audi as they simply blame Apple.

Does it happen every time you shift into reverse or just occasionally?

I switched to OEM cable from Apple and the problem went away on my 2017. I did some testing and the 3rd party cables were causing it and I also saw that they didn’t charge as strongly either. I had the problem all the time previously but rarely happens anymore.

I'd say it happens about 33% of the time that the parking assist screen kicks on. I'm also using an official Apple cable, for what it's worth.

Also, I previously had a 2017 S3 and never had this issue. Seems like a few 2017 people have this issue but a lot of them don't.
