Delivery of Glacier White on Rock Grey Prestige
I just picked up our 2017 Glacier White on Rock Grey Prestige. I was curious to see what the interior looked like because it seems like grey is the least commonly ordered color. I also ordered the layered walnut which is now a discontinued option so the combination is unique. I was nervously hopeful when we caught our first glimpse and was delighted (my wife was as well -- whew).
One of the concerns that one of our esteemed group members had articulated was the steering wheel being grey. I was freaked out when I had heard this because in the online building area on audiusa.com I thought that grey was mixed with a black steering wheel and dash. Fortunately the steering wheel and the dash top are a DARK grey (whew) and it didn't come off as being too grey.
I also ordered the black headliner and I think that it came together nicely. Here are some photos, as promised.
PS -- sorry the first photo is flipped -- it should go upright if it is clicked, I think

Nice! I'm going to look forward to my Glacier White/Rock Grey combo - although we got the grey oak.
As for the black headliner - is it only for the sunroof area? Otherwise, it looks grey to me (a really dark grey, but I assume it's cause of the shadow/photo)?

The black headliner goes to the front pillars and to the level of the doors throughout the car. The alternate is a really light grey -- I didn't want to go that way because I have had bad luck with lighter colors on the headliner showing dirt over time. I think that the black headliner goes well with black or grey leather.
I hope that you enjoy your Q7 when it arrives.

Super gutsy on the layered walnut with the gray, but I have to say, it looks great! I love my rock gray with gray oak, but this has a real "pop" to it. My wife doesn't like lighter woods, so she wouldn't have loved it, but if it were just me, I may have chosen to go this route. Nicely done, very unique!!!

It is completely black -- the headliner and the sunshade as well as the pillars to the dashboard and top of the doors.
