Going in for service on Monday. They will have the car while I am away on vacation.
They are looking into availability on the parts for this recall and hopefully can complete it.
When I have more details I will fill folks in.

Dealer called me this Wednesday saying Audi approved the repairs. Fixed during Wednesday and Thursday. Today it is ready to be picked up. It will take a day tops.

Was it 2.5 hours to replace the fuel rails?

Just how long should it be. Thanks

The letter from Audi says 3 hours. I called my dealer yesterday and they said they'd order the parts but didn't know when they'd be available. Maybe next week.

Just as an FYI, I took my Q7 in for annual service and asked about this recall, dealer said my vehicle was not part of the recall. My production date was February 2018

Normally I too would just wait until the next service. But this one has the risk of fire, and I do park mine in the garage under my house. While low probably of it happening, I do want to get it fixed ASAP. I've even considered parking outside until it's fixed, but ughhh, it's winter! Keeping my nose open for any faint odor of gas.
