Stock dyno numbers?
I just ran mine bone stock and put down 405.86hp and 455.36tq to the wheels. The guy running the dyno seemed impressed by the stock numbers. What do you think? Are they above average or just about typical?
Who did your dyno? It was an AWD set-up, right?
For comparison you might do a search here and also in the community section (forums) at rs6.com
MAC Autosport ran the AWD dyno. I went with the Rocky Mountain Region fellas so I had at least 10 guys standing right there. I'm wondering if the previous owner had this thing chipped, although I really doubt it. I'll see if I can post up the actual dyno sheet.
Update: Okay this picture isn't the best but you get the idea.
You realize that chipping no longer necessarily means there is a physical chip, right? If you look inside the ECM, all might look normal and undisturbed if it was chipped/programmed by port, i.e. from a wire under the dash connected to a downloading computer with the proper cable. Sort of like a blood transfusion, except the blood is programming.
In any case I can't see how you're getting those numbers stock, assuming the dyno worked properly, unless the engine's performance programming was enhanced. Otherwise how could torque rated at 420 from the engine end up as 455 at the wheels? Torque normally diminishes on its way to the wheels, especially with four of them to drive. The higher rating seems to defy the physics of energy transmission.

Anyhow, it may seem unlikely that a female owner would mod, but then you have to think about the fact this is, after all, a female who owned an RS6. Assuming she bought it, I doubt she's a typical female ... whatever that is. (If anyone can give me a clue, please do; life will be SO much better!)
Can't help you detect anything, and that can be a delicate subject. It's usually not something you want to ask about at a dealership! But there's a web site directory of VAG-COM owners who lend out or rent their equipment. Maybe they can help. If I find the link I'll post it here later.
Another option: Contact a chip dealer near you -- APR, GIAC, whoever -- and ask what they are capable of detecting.
Jeff, I have a VAG-COM, I can look over your car whenever you want.
