Looks to be the best forum to join. Friday I talked to my local dealer and gave him my build sheet for my RS7. He told me he would contact me about a allocation date.
I have never ordered a Audi before so I have some questions. The dealer told me it's a 12 to 15 month wait. Any confirmations on this?
Since delivery is that far out,how does the cost of the vehicle work. The USD/EUR looks like its headed below par and in a year could be 100 or 90 or 80?
The car build price was just below 139K

Another question, why aren't more cars ordered with the ceramic brake pkg and the dynamic suspension? My understanding is that the limiter is set at 190 with these options instead of 130 and 150 mph
I did not order the electronic safety option lane change front and rear collision ect seems like more stuff to go wrong. This is built for comfort and speed. I travel in Nevada.

Right now the allocation will be the issue. The end of the 22 model year is upon us and the change to 23 is mid-June. As far as I know there is no news on when new allocations will be given out, but it is fair to say that it will be a 2023 when it gets built. While it is hard to predict how long you will wait, I suspect that 10-12 months will be pretty close, but that will depend on if and when your dealer can get an allocation for you.

 

Our dealership gets between 3-4 allocations a month under normal conditions for each RS and R8 model. We can have a car for you before the end of the year. I currently placed two of my clients on the sold
order waitlist this week. We have four orders ahead of you but if your interested we can assist. We do not charge any market adjustments and ship cars all throughout the US. Please send me a PM and I’ll be happy to assist you in securing an allocation for MY23.

 

I have a 2023 Florett Silver Metallic RS7 on order with a comm# that is awaiting "production". ETA is 1/6/23. I was told today by the dealer that Audi is deleting the OLED tail light assembly from all 2023 RS7 orders and replacing with an LED taillight instead. For the deleted part, they are crediting $250 back. So kind

Does anyone think there will be a noticeable difference between the LED vs original OLED tail light or visually impact the sequence of the lighting effects?

Also, since I have no choice, could I swap this later when available or would there be likely be more involved than simply a plug and play taillight assembly swap? My fear is that it will involve a tail light assembly, lighting control module and retrofit connectors, which does not seem particularly appealing to do on a new car when OLED becomes available again.

Curious if anyone else also got this notification from their dealer on 2023 RS7 orders? Maybe I am making more out of this because I know I am not getting OLED now. Perhaps ignorance is bliss
