Default do your lights flicker?

Mine started this about a month ago. They just randomly flicker as if the power is being cut or something. Interior flights stay on, its just the headlights (could be the rear also but i dont have eyes on the back of my head). What do you guys think?

I think it's because of the shrooms.

No, I'd suggest Meth. It keeps you alert.

Default My lights flicker sometimes too. I even got a warning once saying something...

...about a dipped light or something...

anyway, The problem goes away most of the time when you turn the lights off and on.

Default No, but the bitc% in my nav system still gets her R and L wrong...

The map always shows the correct turn, but she will always say "prepare for right turn" when in fact it is a left turn......

that, and as others have said occasionally the nav will start up all by itself.....annoying..

Default Ballast issue

Known issue. Had my right die slowly like that. Dealer couldn't duplicate the issue. One day the thing just went out while driving and went to the dealer and showed them the dead light. Turned the lights off then back on, then it came back alive. Ballast/igniter was replaced.

Left one is doing it now. Seems the colder weather is having an effect on it as it flickers once in a while for the first few minutes in the morning.

Few other B7 A4'ers had the same problem.

Default Could also be...

your battery dieing. My right light started to occasionally flicker and then over time the left one started as well. Usually only at startup.

I also noticed that one of the warning indicator lights in the dash cluster started staying on a long time after starting the car. I can't remember which one now, check engine or seat belt I think.

Car was a little more sluggish starting too. Replaced the battery and all problems went away.

Now, if your light is actually shutting off and then popping back on, it might be the other issue that has been mentioned.

Either way, they shouldn't flicker no matter how much character it adds. ;-)

Eric.
