New button conversion complete (sorta)
A few days back someone mentioned that the RS4's were getting new interior buttons. Being quite superficial, I was bothered by this development. You know I paid $80,000 for my car - well actually $73,520, but I'll just round to $80,000 since that seems to be the going rate tonight. How could AoA screw me by putting new buttons on the $80,000 cars that were made after mine?
Thanks to TTBrit I can say f' you AoA. I can make my own buttons and they will be better buttons than any you might ever imagine. I really like the contrast of the shiny aluminum with the non-shiny aluminum scattered through out the rest of the car. The painter's tape was intended to hold the strips on while the super glue dried, but I really like the 'touch of class' it adds to my interior. Plus it perfectly matches the painter's tape on my front bumper - you know to keep the exterior looking good too.
I'm thinking about marketing the kits in about 2 weeks. I have posted the final photos below.

Tomorrow's project will be shortening of the surfboard antennae. Materials: beer, hack saw. This one will be a winner too!

Re: have you noticed how everyone who hates the RS4 thinks it costs $80K?
it did cost $80k, off the lot with taxes, titles and all that. mine came to $79k and change..
and i called it $80k beforehand.
btw, i don't hate the RS4, i am trying to get a replacement afterall, not a refund.

Ben,
Most of us here really do feel for you, but with all of your flaming posts you have painted a huge target on yourself tonight. AW is a great place, but tone is everything. Had your first post tonight told the story without the emotions or threats, 99% of the people here would have taken your side.
I seriously believe that one way or another AoA will take care of you in the end. Give them a little more time to work something out. Take a break tonight. Get some sleep. On Monday, talk Audi into giving you a new RS4 and let us know how you like it.
