aftermarket audio/warranty issues

I plan on getting speakers/amps/sub aftermarket, since I'll be getting a system of much higher quality and power than the Bose one for only slightly more. I have two questions though:

Will installation of 3rd-party electronic equipment affect the warranty coverage in any way?

Assuming the standard system is the same as in the A4, with a 150-watt 10-speaker system (I lost my S4 options sheet a while back), does anyone know if the speaker count in the Bose system will be different- like maybe 12, including two subs behind the rear headrests? Thanks-

I'm pretty sure the bose that we're getting has 12 speaks. If it's got separate subs, that would be ideal. I have a crazy aftermarket setup in my Tahoe right now...but as long as the stock speakers sound good enough, and there's ample low frequency without it being overbearing, I'm cool.

Mos def doing aftermarket sounds, heres what I have planned:

Two 8" Audiobahn Subwoofers and an Audiobahn 2801T Amplifier pushing both subwoofers. The stock system should have decent component speakers so I'm not so worried about changing those. I know there are two small underseat woofers that probably can't do much in terms of bass, but knowing how Bose sets up there stock systems the Subwoofers will be sucking way too much power from the components on low frequency bass hits and it will sound like someone just turned down the volume on the component speakers...i hate it when that happens that's why I am getting two small sub's of my own so I can push all the power to the 12 component speakers. BTW...the warranty won't be voided unless you actually alter the Bose sound system....which isn't possible unless you completely take it out

There have been issues with dealers attributing some problems with aftermarket audio systems

especially due to the more complex electrical systems of the cars now a days.

Also - remember your system will not be calibrated to provide a flat response across the frequency spectrum in all the seating as the Bose is designed to do.
