Default Multi Function Steering Wheel

Question. I am able to change the tracks of the cd's with the wheel buttons but can't seem to do it for the radio. I set my presets manually on the radio on FM1. I then used the buttons on the wheel to change the stations, the station changed, but are not my presets.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Default Which buttons are you trying?

I think the left and right buttons are for going between presets.

Up and down change stations, and change tracks, left and right change cd's, and changes presets on XM (dunno, never tried changing presets on regular radio)

Default Confused

The up and down on the left side change tracks on CDs, but they only scan for the radio - in other words, they go to the next wavelength, not the next preset. This applies to AM, FM or satellite. To go to the next preset, you need to use the ***** on the radio. At least that's how mine works.

What "left and right" are you referring to? The right hand buttons are volume only.

Default There is a "right" button beneath the volume buttons.

There is a "left" button on the other side of the steering wheel. These two are marked "<" and ">" and seek through your presets.

Default I think folks with telematics get cheated out of these buttons

Dunno... but they are extremely useful for XM, and for phatbox.

Default Not mine

The bottom left and bottom right are for the phone on my car. Not sure if it's the Audi phone (which I don't have) or for Onstar (which I've never used). What a worthless "feature" that is.

Default Oh wow.

I don't have OnStar or the phone...guess that was a good decision! I bet you could have a chat w/your dealer and have him re-program the buttons though. I'm 99% sure that's a VAG tool job.

Default Yep, telematics steals the left and right buttons.

Yet one more reason not to get it...
