Default Problems installing the Hyperflow...?

it seems as though the supplied bulkhead is not sitting flush at the bottom... the left side of my hood is not closing flush as it did before... it's probably less than an 1/8" but it's bugging me...

and what is the supplied breather filter used for...?

they ended up plugging a vaccum line with a screw, as there was no supplied vaccuum plug...

anyone else have any input on this...?

Default Answered your own questions really....

Supplied filter is for the vacuum you've plugged with a screw.

Not fitting flush because you haven't fully removed the sockets on the bottom of the engine bay. Remove the rubber, plastic, and whatever else, from the bottom underneath the heat shield and your problems will be solved.

When in doubt, look at the pics people have posted on here (stfa) and on the instructions. It shows where the filter goes.

Default car actually feels slower with the Milltek and Hyperflow now as well...

most of it seems to be at the bottom end... it just kinda feels doggish off the line...

could this be attributed to the breather filter...?

Default Ok, the Breather filter IS installed...

the service writer told me they didn't know what this piece was for... but it IS installed... i guess the tech must have READ the instructions afterall...

but i still have this plugged vaccum line... i'm gonna try and take a pic and maybe someone can tell me what is wrong here...

Default did someone else install this for you?

Sounds like they are morons and shouldnt be allowed near cars. There are probably rubber spacers from the stock air box that are not less everything sit flush. I suggest not letting whoever touched you car, touch it again. Hyperflow can be done in 20 minutes without instructions.

Default Breather is for the breather hose that connects to the side of the airbox.

That's what's supposed to go in the hose that you plugged up.

Default No, the doggish that your feeling might be a loss of low-end torque.

The exhaust is going to give you the high-end horsepower.

The intake is going to help with both torque and horsepower, but the torque band has increased sharply near the middle of the rev band. So you have less torque down REALLY low, more torque in the meat of the band, and much more HP up top.

Default No vacuum lines should be plugged. The only hose that was open was the breather...

can't think of any other hoses.

Default Agreed. My grandma could do it.

Takes no time at all. I don't understand what all the confusion is from. This was from an Audi tech?
