Default About to pull the trigger...

...on an S4. Going for Prestige, Estoril Blue, 19" peelers, black leather interior, stainless steel inlays, sport diff, adaptive suspension and supercharged badges.

Was hoping to get into one before the weather got bad, but it looks like I will be ordering. That's fine, I can live with my 335 for a few more months and can use the time to save up for winter wheels and tires. I might change my mind and go for monsoon gray with chestnut interior, but I really am leaning towards the blue.

Estoril over Black Nappa will be a beautiful combo. DSG or MT?

Sounds cheesy but save your money on the badges and get them from ECS for half the price. You figure that is essentially one more tank of gas for having fun. Always ok to spend money, I just try not to waste it.

Just realized your name is the same initials as one of my good friends from days gone by. Last name isnt ankerstjerne is it?

No...Anderson.

I will take into consideration your suggestion about the badges.

Ordered mine with the badges because I didn't want to go through the hassle of swapping them. Of course that was before I realized that I would need to remove them to have my clear bra installed. Had I known that I would have just waited.

FYI, when I picked up my monsoon grey S4, they had two others that were sitting in the warehouse (Not ordered). They only have one of the Estoril Blue and someone had ordered it, point it if you want to be more exclusive get the blue. Blue isn't tops on my list, but it bugs me that two other monsoons were just sitting there.

Yeah...if I go monsoon grey I would lean towards getting chestnut brown interior...just to make the car a bit more unique.

How do you like the clear bra? Is it visible on the car? I am considering it as I do a lot of highway commuting and am prone to rock chips.

Haven't done it yet, scheduled to go next weekend. I did look at another car at the shop when I was doing my research and it is basically invisible. If you do half the hood you will be able to tell from roughly a foot away because of the seam. If you do the whole hood, you can't tell at all.

Well worth the cash for me because my old A5 had all kinds of rock chips on the front end, trying to avoid that this time around.

If you do half the hood, the line really shows up when the car is dirty. Especially with a black car like mine
Even when clean, it's always a bit visible from close even when clean (as mentioned.) So far, most people recognize it for what it is and comment how it's a smart idea. Doesn't bother me that it shows a bit.

Default It's getting close...

So it looks like I'm officially on my way to being an S4 owner. The dealer I'm working with has located an Estoril blue Prestige S4 with S-tronic, black leather interior, sport diff, adaptive suspension and carbon atlas inlays. Will have dealer put winter tires on the 18" rims and will get a set of 19s for summer. My only worry is that the car is coming from a dealer in California and I'd hate to have a front license plate bracket on my car when I live in a state that doesn't require a front plate.

Still considering switching out the carbon atlas inlays for stainless steel/piano black.

I live in a state with a front license requirement and I still don't want a front plate, haha. If it does maybe you could get a european plate, they do look much nicer.
