Automatic Window Problem
For some reason, the driver side automatic window function stopped working. I have to hold down the button to raise/lower the window. The other three work fine. Has this happened to anyone else?

I used to have similar issues with my old VW. To get the auto up/down to start working again in that car you manually put the windows down, up, down, up (all only to first click). Then the auto function worked again. Worth a try.

In my allroad I had to run the window all the way down manually - that would reset it and the automatic would work again.

check you manual on how to reset it. I think you have to hold the button down while the window goes all the way down. Once it gets to the bottom, let go of the button for a second, then press the button down again for a second.
Repeat going up--- hold up until the window is all the way up, release, then hold up again for one second.
One of these two actions resets the auto feature.

hope this fixes it for you. My driver's side has taken to intermittently stopping and reversing on the middle of the way up (as if it's met resistance and trying not to crush something that's not there). This goes onto my 5K checkup list (along with trunk that doesn't close consistently, MMI fail @ hot days, and OCD automatic door locks that sometimes lock themselves multiple times in one run thru the gears)
