Camera chip availability feedback
I see many inquiries on the forum for the availability of the chips on both new deliveries and dealer installed issues.
I took delivery this past Wednesday which had the functional camera, and think it would be great if anyone who has received their car in the last week or so and moving forward could post the status on their chip.
From what my dealer told me the chip mfg has been resolved. Now it is a matter of how fast the market will get their shipments. And if those shipments are going to the factory or the dealers.
I'm not sure what other car mfg's get their components from the same factory that had to deal with the damage in Japan.
So if you could post your situation it might provide a pattern of where the supply is and help answer some questions current and future Audi owners have in regards to the ETA of their chips.

My car delivered Sept 28th - no working camera and I am just fine to enjoy the car and relax until Audi lets me know to go in for the retrofit. No reason to complicate the issue or dwell on something I cannot control. Either the car comes with it or not and Audi will let us know when we can retrofit - not sure how any posts really change anything as I feel this simple topic has been beaten to death and then some.

looks like there was a date of production where the chips were available. Order date depending on allocation could be the reason some deliveries were without the chip. Hopefully the service chips will be available soon. Let us know when you get the call.
If your experience is like mine, the backup portion of my ride is tiny in comparison to the driving experience.
