How long will a battery last for long-term storage?

Hi
I am going to ship my b8 s4 from the U.S. shore to South Korea in this winter. They said it would take about 5-6 weeks.
Do you think the battery would last for 6 weeks standing period??
I don't want to disconnect the battery because it sits below the back trunk. Do you think this(disconnect/connect) would make a big difference in battery life?

Our cars have a battery saving system installed. After a period of inactivity, the car turns off the accessories not needed to start the car. Then eventually, it will turn off everything.

I think it'll be ok w/out disconnecting the battery. If you have issues, I'm sure the Korean Stealership can help ya out.

Should be ok, had my car sit for a month while I was out of town for work. She started up with no problem. However a few years ago I let my car sit for about 7 months while I was on deployment and I came back and it was dead even after it was disconnected.

if I'm not mistaken, you can proactively put the car into a deep sleep mode via vag-com, but it sounds like that may not be necessary...

6 weeks is no problem. Um mentioned the car turning off non essential items after a period of time. It does this in steps the longer the car is not started...more items get turned off.

Our batteries are huge. There is a ton of reserve power in them. 6 weeks is a piece of cake...6 months is a different story. Either way...typically shipping companies are prepared for this with portable battery jumpers so when they go to start the car to get it off the boat and it doesn't start they can hook it up, jump it, and you probably wouldn't know the difference.
