Long time stalker, first time breaking and entering
Hey guys,
Sorry for the "interesting" title, but I have tipped back a few parcels of the fermented grain. I've been lurking in the deep shadows of the forum for about a month or two and just recently picked up my fabulous S4 in Chi-town this past weekend. Immediately I set upon a 500 mile trek from my dealer in Chicago (Fletcher Jones Audi- amazing sales experience, btw) back home to Clarksville, TN. Attempts were made to properly break er' in during freeway travel as best I could during the ~460 mi journey back home.
For some stats on the ole' girl:
2012 Prestige, Glacier White
S-Tronic
Titanium
Carbon Atlas
Sports Diff
Black Nappa
She's been locked in the garage since Monday to strip her down, clean, claybar, and apply a few chemical pseudo-forcefields of Zaino. Once the weather here mellows out and ceases to rain, I'll bust out the DLSR and snap a few shots of her elegant glacier white purity, juxtaposed against the majestically prismatic, autumn backdrop of the Tennessee countryside.
She's currently at 700mi. I'm staring at a large box full of Milltek exhaust in my living room and there is a Alu Kreuz somewhere betwixt my front door and Torrance, CA. Tomorrow, after a solidly rigorous intro to the world to ensure the engine seals are properly set, I'm planning on ordering APR ECU and APR Carbonino 1&2.
I think that covers most bases of initial questions members ask of newbies. I'm looking forward to contributing to this fine forum, despite my puerile affinity (giddy school boy) and knowledge of the vehicle. I thank you for reading my rather lengthy intro to the boards and appreciate your understanding. Any questions of me are welcomed.

Congrats! I can't wait to see some good pics of Glacier White besides the ones on Foutitude and crap ones from other owners.

yes! Pics! Congrats and great color choice. How do you like the Glacier White? Have you compared it side by side an Ibis?
Your kickin' *** on the mods. What are you going to do the second month other than drive the snot our of 'er?
It should like identical to the one I have on a boat just a few hrs from docking in San Diego. Hope to take delivery within a week or so.
When did you place your order? I ordered mine 6/26, and I seem to have to have waited an extra month from every one else. And that is comparing with other Ti Pkg folks.

If you're thinking about getting paint protection film do it early before the front of the car gets a bunch of paint chips.

How do you break-in a car travelling mostly highway miles? I will be going through the same process in a month or two and would like as much info as possible to make sure everything is seated correctly.
