Q on 2014 Tires.
Picking up 2014 S4 in 2 weeks, and was wondering if there are any differences in 18" vs. 19" tires.
Mine comes in 19", but doing some reading online, it seems 18" is the cheaper, lighter, and better in overall performance (handling).
Is 19" really just the aesthetic appeal? or having 19" over 18" have any benefits?

The car just looks better in 19s. Ordered my 2010 with 18" wheels because I was not in love with the 19" peelers. Wanted the RS4 style. Was able to swap for them and every time I look at the car I think how much better it looks with the 19" wheels. Ordered my 2014 with the 19" peelers. That style has grown on me. But I would trade them in a second for another set of RS4 style wheels. 19" wheels and tires will have a SLIGHTLY stiffer ride. 19" tires will cost more to replace. Be happy with your 19s. If you are not, they will be easier to sell than the 18s.

Thanks for the response. I am sure I will love either way, but I wanted to find out if there was any performance benefits of 19" over 18"..
I guess the cornering is slightly better....

I've opted for 18s on our S4, and haven't got any complaints about comfort, performance or looks. I haven't lowered the car either, which I realize would also improve it's looks. It's all about personal preference, so consider the options, then go with whatever you like best.
