S4 Ordered!
I finally got around to ordering the S4 yesterday afternoon. The dealer thinks it will be about 90 days before it arrives but I'm thinking it will be a bit longer, which is ok with me since I need some time to sell my 2002 A4 Avant 5spd that has a few tasteful upgrades.
I ordered an ibis white with black interior, 6spd, sport diff, B&O and the titanium package. It should look pretty awesome!

By the way any mention about the alu trim being replaced by carbon by your dealer?

As of today I have been officially waiting 4 months since placing my order with the dealer here in Calgary. According to Audi, I should receive my car the week after next so thats a total of 130+ days!! I'm told that some of the delay may be because I ordered a couple "special order" items (heated rear seats and TPMS)...but hard to believe that added 40 days...
I think the demand for the B8 S4 is building and creating more wait time for these great vehicles.

Yeah that is what i thought, my dealer told me the alu wasn't available anymore and carbon was the default now. Thanks for clarifying, once again congrats!

Yup, WAS... appears to be carbon now. I'm pretty interested in seeing if I have aluminum or carbon since I'll have my S4 in less than two weeks. I'm hoping it's aluminum. I may have one of the last ones since my car was built just before the factory closed for the holidays.

I emailed my sales rep early in the week asking about when I might hear about my build date. Well I never heard back so I called on Friday evening to find out that my sales rep no longer works at the dealership. So I asked the random sales rep on the phone and he told me he would have to get back to me. He called back about 15 minutes later to tell me they have a commission number (I already have it) and that he doesn't know when the build date will be but he talked to the manager and I can expect to have the car within 45 to 60 days. I mentioned to him that from everything I have heard it is taking 90+ days from the order date. His response ... you should have it within 45 to 120 days. I could barely hear him over the phone so I let it go but I will be stopping into the dealer within the next couple of days to get a better answer.
