Yes i know it's supposed to make some noise under load, but ...
it's just that when pushing it harder, starting around 3000-4000rpm, the typical compressor whine get quite audible, subjectively louder than the two demo cars i've driven up to now ...
Did audi maybe change something for the later 2011 models (car was built march/april 2011) ?

I have a 2011 with 1200 miles on it. I can't even tell I have a supercharger. I am starting to suspect it's all a marketing ploy :P Why else would Audi put "T" after V6 and make a supercharger that doesn't make any sound? Obvious to confuse the general public.

After my car was broken in when I get on it WOT I can hear the supercharger whine..... Its a supercharger you are going to hear it. Nothing like it would be with an intake but in the cabin i can hear it at those RPMS in many S4s I have been in.
