I just bought the Rial DH wheels in 18x8.5 from Tire Rack with Michelin Pilot Alpin in 235/45-18. I liked the Rial's over some of the other brands and replicas since they are low-pressure cast (versus gravity), use stock mounting hardware, and made in Germany (versus China.) I don't have them on the car yet, but they look great in the garage. I wanted some darker rims to match the Titanium add-ons better, but couldn't find any I liked not from China or reasonably priced.
I will be changing my summer set to my new (to me) winter set in the next few weeks. I went down from my 19" Ti wheels and I picked up a "used one winter season" set of 18" VMR 710's in matte black with Dunlop Wintersport 3D tires, 245/40/r18.
I have a 2012 S4 (monsson gray) with prestige package in downstate New York. Plan on getting winter tires and decided remounting tires on the rims 2x per year is just too much of a headache so I'm gonna get new wheels as well. I will probably follow the advice of tirerack and go down from 19" to 18" and am leaning towards Michellan Pilot Alpin PA3s. Focus at the moment is finding a really nice looking wheel that will not take away from the look of the car. Tire rack is recommending Mota EB1 or Sports Edition A7, but they both look a bit cheap and even with the internet tool of seeing it on a vehicle, you just don't know how it will look til it's on the car. I don't mind spending a few more $s, but want it to really blend nicely. I'm starting to think I may be best off with the stock wheels that come with the premium plus? Anyone know where I can get them at a resonable price? In the alternative, any recommendations of tasteful, yet sharp wheels (the Sports Edition ST4 looks nice).
I went through a similar decision process last year and landed on a set of used P+ wheels that have worked out fine. Seeing as you are downstate ny, you may want to check Audi of Meadowlands. They advertise on the home page as a Audi parts supplier. I think you can order the wheels from them for a little more than $1k. I paid less but they weren't perfect and it was a bit of a hassle... I might go through them if I were doing it again, and it would be less expensive for you if you avoid shipping. I am running the Pirelli's from tire rack and was happy with them last winter.
I went the tire rack route with my wife's car and there is something to be said for the whole package showing up balanced and ready to bolt on. Either way, I think you'll be glad you got a second set. I have made the mistake of not doing it before and the hassle and expense of swap-over was painful. As long as I live in New England, I'll be buying a winter set, even for the SUV.

I have a 2011 P+ with about 7000 miles. I live in northern NJ, and am still deciding which way to go with tires for winter (snows on OEM wheels and new wheels for summer tires, or all-seasons on new wheels). I might be looking to get rid of my OEM wheels if I go the all-season route. The wheels are in perfect condition, and we might be able to work out something if you want to go with slightly used 18" OEMs. I will come to a decision over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
