Wheel Paint Flaking? (pics)
I haven't seen this one yet - anyone else experience this? Washing my car today and cleaning the wheels (just regular soap, water and wool wash mitt). And a piece of the wheel paint flaked off... It almost looks lik there's a "bubble" but I don't want to pick at it to find out...

Good photo. Assuming you got your car new from a dealer, it looks like they dinged the rim and got it repaired, and you're seeing a bondo chip. Too thick for a paint chip, and there's a hint of the boudary of the bondo that you can see in the zoomed photo (and slight paint mismatch) but probably cannot see with the naked eye.

Ah interesting ... I hadn't thought of that. Well I guess I better pay my dealer a visit.
(note: there actually isn't a paint mis-match there... the wheel is still wet from being washed and you are seeing a line of water on the surface)
