Interesting thought, hard to tell really. Definitely coming from the front of the car. I know I can hear it when I put the system on mute (haven't tried turning it off .. but then... can I even turn it off!?). Maybe I'll also trying fading the speakers to back or left/right to see if the sound moves.

LOL, good question. I switched Sirius over from my last car. While in the process of switching, I got tired of being in a parking lot and started driving when I was asked to powercycle the radio. I told them I didn't think that was possible and to hold on as I found a place to pull over and turn off the car! No idea if switching to NAV or something else would shut off the radio. I would think it is still 'there' but just not piping sound to the speakers.
