brake problems... shuddering after i let off the brakes
I had originally thought that my rear rotors needed to be replaced (very worn, pad deposition) and that this was the source of the vibration that felt like warped rotors...
today, after replaced the rear rotors with slightly used but still in good shape oem rotors, I was bedding in the pads on the highway.
First i couldnt seem to get the brakes to temperature to burn off deposits...
next, afer letting off of the brakes the vibration continued for a while (over a mile) until i could pull off the highway. I can hear the front brakes still rubbing the rotors (these are stoptechs btw) and i think this may be the source of the vibrations...
in any case after driving slowly for a while, swerving side to side etc the calipers seemed to release and the car drove normally again.
Does anyone have any idea why the stoptechs would be sticking or know how to solve this? This has happened twice and usually isnt a problem. The front rotors have a few small deposits on them so i think next weekend im going to get all four lightly cut to get off all the deposits etc..
any advice is appreciated. thanks.
