CEL, Code16985, Control Module Memory Checksum Error

ARP chip,Can not clear CEL,
Anyone have any luck getting APR to rechip/reflash their ECU?

IIRC bentley says to replace the ECU...Maybe your ECU is toast? Or bad solder job

Car runs great, But CEL keeps coming back

Reinstalled APR after last weekend's break in attempt (Anti-theft program)

Any qualified APR Distributor can resolve that problem in a 1/2 hour.

Either its a checksum because the APR program is corrupt, or because the memory is corrupt

If it's the latter then things like storage of long-term fuel trims may not be working, which could lead to other problems.

I'd try resetting and re-flashing, and if it still doesn't work then I'd be very worried i.e. look at replacing the ECU.

Just searched...

definitely have the chip reflashed. If that fails to solve the problem, then there is another issue with the ECU and it will need to be replaced.

Don't replace the ECU blindly without first doing the reflash.
