Does your rs6 turbos whine?
The OEM piping for RS6 turbo is much larger than the one we re-use in our cars. Whistling is not present in RS6 as the piping allows for air to travel at a velocity that doesn't cause whistling.
I think what OP is really saying is "OMG HALP! My turboz is dying1!!?1?"
and I think all he wanted was a reassurance that, no - they are operating normally. Call off the red-alert, etc.
The sound that a properly operating turbo makes depends on a host of factors, including the size and type of turbo, the piping, and other components of the system. The main thing that needs to be pointed out is that an audibly failing turbo can not be mistaken for a properly operating one - you will know if the sounds it is making indicates failure.
