Get an MBNA card or similar for all online shopping... They offer "Shop Safe", which...
...generates a temporary credit card number for each specific purchase with spending limits and expiration dates. It can even be set for recurring purchases for club fees and such.

Guys if you order a lot of stuff online you HAVE to get a card that allows a virtual CC #
On your banks website you can generate a one time use CC number that is seperate from your normal CC#. That protects you from 1. Getting charged extra or over what your originally were charged. 2 . No big deal if someone gets the CC# as it can never be used again and your real CC# is protected. You'll never have to worry about this BS if you do this.

I made a few purchases at ECStuning online using my CC
I had a charge on my CC bill that wasn't supposed to be there, but the bank pickup it up and took care of it.
I'm definetly not saying it's related but this is the only time something like this has happened to me.

Yep, ordered from ECS and a couple months later had a 1-800 number charged to my account
Then a week after that I get a call from a "Kevin Smith" with the thickest indian accent you've ever heard calling me up to confirm my address so he could "ship my order"... What did I order? Apparently I ordered a bunch of "pharmaceudicals"... Ummm, yeah... Scary thing is that he had ALL my personal info and was reciting it over the phone as I asked him who the hell he really was and what company he worked for.
I told him to go fly a kite, and needless to say I immediately reported this to the CC company and cancelled the card.
I told the CC rep that this had happened to a bunch of other people who ordered from ECS, and he recorded this to the fraud department. My guess is that if ECS gets enough flags there an investigation will ensue.

ECS has not posted here or on their website about this? Obviously they dont give a sh*t then
why keep ordering from them if they dont have a secure system and now that we and they know they dont have one, they havent said anything publicly about the situation.
