Default EGT sensor code

I did a log on my VAG and came up with an EGT code a couple days before I went to the track. This has probably been here for a while. Just got a VAG btw.

17865 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236): Open or Short to Plus
35-10 - - - Intermittent

I cleared it as soon as I seen it two days ago, logged again today and came up with the same code. Would I be losing some performance from this?

Would the boost be affected because it is running the same as it usually does?

Default if you're stock, you won't notice much of a difference, though you'll run richer.

your boost gauge says what?

Default im running an mbc/tcd,giac x, 2.5 catback exhaust. Running 18psi and havent noticed any drop..

do you think im not noticing boost drop because boost is not being controlled electronically by the N75 valve anymore? I have the MBC setup in standalone.
