Default Follow up to my homebrew boost issues from last night

Well it seems my boost cut or WG taper only occurs when I get on it at ~3000 rpm in 3rd gear or higher:
Spikes to 19-20 and drops to ~16psi.

If I don't stomp the go pedal until 3500+ rpms boost spikes to 20 and holds steady at 19psi as revs climb(as intended).

Anyone else experience similar behaviour using a homebrew set-up?

PS- I won't have a chance to fiddle with the wastegate preload until I have the right tools. I want to get a hold of a regulator/pressure gauge to read 0-10 psi accurately (and precisely). I plan to connect to the actuator cans and slowly raise pressure until each gate starts to move. Yea, as pressure builds over time it gets worse: Sounds like textbook TIP.

Default Is it odd that it occurs at lower rpms and not when I get into boost at higher revs?

Like the WG gets blasted open.
Maybe an EBC would crack open the WG in a smoother manner than the MBC? Boost hits VERY fast/hard on X.

As noted a few posts down, I've got to get together with Mark/Autospeed and get some custom tuning to get that smooth throttle and boost control his software has.

Default Not really. TIP is time dependant...

The more time you're pushing air through the exhaust housing the more time pressure has to build up. Conversely, if you start to hit boost at a higher rev you're reducing the overall time the exhaust housing has to build up TIP.

Default i think i said this to you before .. mine goes up to 20 drops to 15-16 ..BUT @ 4000+ prm goes to 20

and will stay there up to redline.. same for 21 psi.

Default I'd check for a leak in your boost control circuit...

Also disassemble your MBC and check to see if the spring is bent.

isn't that surging .. down low rpm there is not enough flow to keep 20 psi ?
