Has anyone ever had their K-line stuck before?

Mine apparantly is and I've disconnected the stock radio, HVAC unit, ABS controller and the ECU to no avail.

If anyone has any thgoughts, it would be much appreciated.

I would guess there could be something you could do with a VAG COM, just not sure what.

You might want to ask on the Ross-Tech forum.

BTW, what are the syptoms?

Cannot VAG at all. Spoke w/Andy at Ross Tech already...

Essentially the VAG can't find the interface on my A6, but is fine on my S4.

I've got close to +12v on my K-line when the ignition is on. Tried disconnecting modules one by one, but no luck thus far.

have you tried a hard reset? eg. disconnecting the battery?

Do you have any other aftermarket accesories?

If you're getting +12V on the K-line all the time, that's the problem. I believe that in order to connect with VAG-COM, the VAG-COM pulls the K-line to ground. If something is causing the K-line to be hard wired to +12V, VAG-COM will never be able to pull that line to ground.

Search in the audio forum about K-line, there's been lots of talk about this there because it happens a lot when you put in an aftermarket radio.
