Are mods allowed with 'premier purchase' since the car is in your name?

well, that's sort of a strange question...
since there aren't ANY mods "allowed" to the car at all. But what do you mean allowed? On a lease car, as long as it's returned in the same condition as you leased it, technically you can modify it BUT again...there aren't any mods that are allowed by AoA.

or since it is in your name, can you do whatever you want without penalty.
I know that AoA doesn't 'allow' any mods, but I was more interested in how a 'premier purchase' is handled.

Does not *have to be* returned ... that's just one of three options (m)
PP is simply a financing alternative that tries to incorporate the positive attributes of traditional financing (ie a loan) and leasing (paying only what you use). As such, the car is titled in your name (vs. AFS with you simply listed as a lesee) and at the end of your term can (a) Return the vehicle and walk away, (b) Sell the vehicle, or (c) Buy it out by making a baloon pmt.
Regardless of lease or PP, should you decide to return the car I seriously doubt you'd do so with the mods still on the car ... so it really doesn't matter. As far as ownership and mods, AFS still technically *owns* your car until you've paid it off, as they have first rights to the vehicle as collateral should you default on your payments.

Baloon payment is one option, you can also refinance at your current payment
for a 1,2,3,4 or 5 year term. Sounds bad but you end out of pocket about the same with PP as you do with finance and lease. If you decide to keep the car you pay less longer, finance, you pay more shorter but the end result on 5 years is pretty much the same.
