Need advise, whats the max horepower with stock internals recommended?
Turbo finally kicked the bucket, Im looking at 2 different upgrade kits but don't really have the money to mess with an engine rebuild and a turbo kit. What can the 2.7t handle without replacing connecting rods and such?

I believe this engines are pretty good.I know There is some differences between engine block and heads comapres to the rs4 in europe which had the same engine.The engine are good to about 450hp i believe without touching anything internally coudl be alot more but I know its at least that.

I've heard the 450 bench mark being the braking point as well.
It's also considered to stay below the threshold of 20lbs of f boooooooooost.
People run higher PSI's, but they may run meth or have an awesome tune.

EPL tuned my car to 26 psi on a stock engine without the use of water injection. On 93 octane on their dyno my car made 460 whp, on 100 octane it made 487 whp. I was not asking for a wild tune, just what the 605's were reasonably capable of doing on a stock motor.
