Prestone DEX-COOL formula. Can this be used in our cars?

Look under "Products" and then "Antifreeze/Coolant" and then "Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant"

NO! ONLY use the pink stuff (G12) from the dealer. Use others and you'll damage the engine.

I say only use the stuff from the dealer because most places don't carry G12 spec coolant. If you do find someone who carries it, then good. The dealer isn't any more expensive than regular coolant so it's not that big of a deal. Adding regular coolant to G12 will cause all kinds of nasty problems including attacking (corroding) engine parts. G12 is lifetime so unless you have a leak or something you shouldn't have to touch it.
