(rs4 sedan) to convert or not to convert...
throwing around the idea of doing a sedan conversion... recently received a few quotes... for those who have done it, would you do it again? was it worth it? does it impact the resale value enough to justify the conversion?
roughly how much can one expect to pay for just bodyshop hours alone (outside of parts)???
any photos? any recommendations on places in the nyc area to have it done???
been searching the archives and the photos i have seen, pretty much give me reason to do it, but there are some things that are still holding me back...
any thoughts or insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

No way. BeatTheWRX sold Chad Block's old car and got good money, IIRC.
Your car would definitely fetch a good price. Don't underestimate enthusiasts.
I do agree that it might not be worth it when you consider the cost of the conversion to what you'd get for the car.
I'm having a hard time *not* doing it, though. The only thing holding me back is the mileage on my car. I'd be tempted to pick up a lower mileage S4 and go to town, though.
I still love your car, BTW.

There was an article in Quattro Quarterly about an RS6 conversion to an Avant...
I forget which issue, but I think it was summer or fall. Greg Heyman's shop did the work, I think. Huge investment -- tens of thousands -- but it came out beautifully.

I think BeatTheWRX lost on that deal. He spent quite a bit of money to get it...
tuned, change interior and a few other things. I know the new owner of the car and for what he paid, it was a steal.
